The Women’s Institute Bulb Show, under tho supervision of the garden circle members, was held in the ball anti proved a most successful function. The show was officially opened by Miss M. Grant, president of the North Wellington Federation of Women’s Institutes. Mrs T. Lynch thanked the judges, Mrs Gallant! (Palmerston North) and Messrs Bond and Larsen (Opiki); the various stewards, the garden circle convener (Mrs A. Batchelar), the secretary (Mrs D. Currin), Mrs K. White and all who had assisted. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames J. Batchelar, P. Sheridan and Miss V. Rix. Tho prize list is as follows : Section A : Trumpets, three varieties, Miss P. Lynch congratulated the garden circle on the success of tho effort. Mrs Lynch called on Mr Larsen to present the prizes. A hearty vote of thanks was convoyed to Messrs Bond, Lennox and Larsen.
