CHRISTCHURCH BRIDE SPEECHLESS ON WEDDING DAY. Great consternation reigned in the household of a Christchurch girl on the morning of her ■wedding day. She had retired the night before feeling quite fit, but in the morning she woke and discovered that she had lost the use of her voice. Whether the cause was due to nerves or an incipient cold was not known, but after a great deal of excitement and confusion, a friendly neighbour who was present popped out and returned with a bottle of Baxter’s Lung Preserver. The bride-to-be, after taking a few sips, recovered the use of her voice much to the iclief of everyone concerned.
