EDUCATION BOARD
The Wanganui Education Board'met yesterday, Air E. F. Hemingway being in the chair. Also presont were Messrs M. H. Oram, A. S. Coleman, P. Dukeson, P. Monro, J. W. Batchelar, Colonel J. H. Whyte and Rev. G. S. King. The architect (Air E. R. Hodge) reported that the erection of a. dental clinic building at the College Street School had been completed and the building was ready for occupation. The asphalting of a gra6sed area immediately behind the new room at the Russell Street School was now in hand. The general renovation of the Terrace End School buildings and the painting of the exterior wood and ironwork was also being undertaken. The erection of the new school buildings at Tangimoana had been commenced. An application from the committee of the Raumai School for the provision of additional shelter shed accommodation at an estimated cost of £27 was granted on the recommendation of the architect.
