MEAT CONSUMPTION
NEW ZEALAND LEADS. LONDON, Sept. 14. The fourth League of Nations volume published under the guidance of the Nutrition Committee reveals that British Empire countries are the largest meat-eaters. Now Zealand leads with an annual per capita consumption of 2361 b, followed by Australia 20211>, Canada 1441 b, and Britain 1401 b. The United States, with 136, leads foreign countries, alter which comes Denmark 120 and Germany 110. The largest sugar consumer is Denmark with 1201 b per capita. Britain consumes 110 pounds, Australia 107, and the United States 103. Switzerland consumes 58 gallons of milk the United States 39. Denmark 36, New Zealand 28. and Britain,' France and Germany, 23 each.
