MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Mr J. L. Stout. S.M.. presided ovar the sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North vesterady. For permitting a chimney to be on fire M. R, Rennie was fined' 10s, with 3s costs. ,
Charged with being found on licensed premises after hours on August 27 Edward O’Fiaherty and John Smith were each fined £2 with 10s costs. Stated to be £o 1 1 s in arrears on a maintenance order for his wife, and £4 Pis for his children. William Nelson Inompson was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment in each case, the warrant to be suspended as long as lie complies with the current ordor and pays 10s weekly off the arrears.
