SPRINGBOKS’ TOUR.
MAORIS SEEK MATCH. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Sept. 14. With complete unanimity and considerable enthusiasm a large Native gathering, following the Prince of Wales Cup match on Saturday, expressed the opinion that, providing no fresh cause of friction arises, a special Maori fixture against the Springboks should be sought. The gathering was a complimentary one to the vsiting players, and when the question was raised informally by a speaker there was a spontaneous response favouring a match with the Africans.
