RANGITIKEI BEAT TE KAWAU.

The annual match for the Smillio Cup between Rangitikei and Te Kawau, played at Sanson to-day, resLdtcd in a decisive victory for Rangitikei. The Rangitikei team played good football, tho forward taking every opportunity of opening tho game up, and they were well supported by thenbacks, who cut the Te Kawau dolencc to ribbons with their straight running. The ’l'e Kawau forwards, although beaten for tho ball in the tight, played good football in the loose, but they had no support from tho backs, whose tackling or attempts to tackle wore pitifully The teams were.—
