RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, July IS. The death occurred at Napier, recently, of Mr George Ernest Signal, a brother of Mrs Thorliurn. of Marton. Thn late Mr Signal was born in Marton 77 years ago and had lived here continuously until about 1925, when ho went to Hawke's Bay. He was a son of one of the founders of Marton and ho had all the pioneering qualities and enterprise of his father. Ho was for several year's a member of the Marton Borough Council and took an active interest in the progress of the town. He leaves a widow and grown-up family of two sons and a daughter—Mr G. B. Signal (eountv. clerk, Wairoa), Mr Alan Signal | (Napier), and Nurse Vera Signal. 1
