HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. Tho executive of The Feilding Hockey Association met last evening, the president (Mr F. J. Allen) being in the chair. Also present were Messrs J. Hill, A. Funston, F. E. Moore, W. Hocken. G. It. B. Boswell, A. Follett, T. Trieklehank, A. H. Packer, E. A. Garlick and the secretary (Mr S. Chesterfield). An apology was received from Mr A. Hendry. The women’s team to play the Rangitikei Sub-Association for the Harper Cup on Victoria Park on Saturday next is as follows: Mieses Etlina Hill, I. Strachan, A. Griffin (capt.), H. Davis, M. Anderson, M. Teague. A\ . Dewe, F. Hayward, Esmo Hill, TV. Clare, J. Telford. Emergencies: Forward, Miss H. Hocken; back. Miss T. Rankin. All other women’s matches are postponed. The Taihapo Association wrote stating that they were changing the date of their tourney to August 0 so as not to clash with the Fijian women s match at Feilding, and it was suggested that a men’s representaoive team be sent to Taihape to play on August 6. Tho Akitio Association asked for a game on July 30 against the Feilding women players. Feilding players under 21 years or age will have an opportunity to play for the Winter Shield at an early date, hut whether against Taranaki or Wanganui cannot yet bo statejl, as these two teams meet on July 25. Tho games for Saturday next are : Juniors. —Feilding. 1 pm.: A\ anderers A v. Swifts, Mr A. IT. Packer; Wanderers B v. Stars, Messrs M. Grindrod and A. Follett. ' • Women (Harper Cup).—Fending. 2.30: Bangitikei v. Feilding, Mr E. A. Garlick and another. Men. —Feilding, 2 p.m.: Swifts v. Wanderers. Messrs S. Chesterfield and G. Boswell: 3 p.m.: Stars v. Colvtori B. Messrs T. Trieklehank and A. hollett. Col.vton A, a bye. A men’s trial match will take place at 3 p.m. with a view to selecting representatives to play Manawatu on August. 12.
