RURAL RAKINGS. In Taranaki last week an exceptionally keen inquiry existed tor all classes of dairy stock. Sales of dairy herds included good young cows at £8 os to £8 10s, two and three-year heifers £7 10s to as high as £9. The Jersey wcaner heifer market is now coining into its own. Sales of best cattle were effected from £4 10s to £5, medium sorts £0 10s to £4. Over £40,000 will he paid out before the end of the present month by the Cambridge Co-operative Dairy Company. This includes a bonus of £2(1.870 to butter suppliers, £12,881 to cheese suppliers, and the usual monthly pay-out, which for June will bo Is Id per lb. of butterfat.
