AUCKLAND’S ZOO ELEPHANT
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 15. The end of a lingo task is in sight at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, where the rebuilding for exhibition purposes of Rajah, the young bull elephant which was shot at the Auckland Zoo in March for reasons of public safety, has been progressing steadily in the expert hands of the taxidermist, Mr C. W. Dover. The new Rajah of shavings, wire-netting, timber, and iron rods has reared itself in the unmistakable brooding and swaying posture of an elephant not in action.
