FRIENDLY SOCIETIES
. SOCIAL GATHERINGS. On Saturday the weekly social gathering of the Foresters' Lodge was held. when there was a good attendance. Euchre and dancing were indulged in. Those successful in the euchre games were Mrs Jones and Miss Foote, and Mr Noble. The Monte Carlo waltz was won bv Mrs Batten and partner. Mr T. Rosanoski was M.C. Supper was served by the ladies. An orchestra supplied the "music for the dance. At a meeting of the Kowhai Rebekah Lodge, Sister E. Bray, N.G., presided over a good attendance. Kiwitoa arid Kopano Lodges sent greetings. Following the business of the lodge, short stories were related by a member, after which supper was served and dancing indulged in.
