Pressure is still low beyond the Chatham Islands, but it is rising and an intense anti-cyclone extends across the north Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. A westerly depression covers the western Tasman. Forecast: Moderate to fresh, but decreasing, southerly winds, veering later to north-westerly. Weather: Mainly fair, hut a few coastal showers. At first cold temperatures, but milder to-morrow. Seas rough.
