McCREADY BEATS KRUSE. SURPRISE ENDING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 13. Unexpectedly turning the tables on Bob Kruse, at tho very moment when tho redoubtable Portland farmer appeared certain of obtaining the deciding fall, Earl MeCready to-night added yet another win to his unbroken series of wrestling success in the Dominion. An enthusiastic crowd watched the bout, which went to the sixth round. The falls were even when Kruse sent MeCready out of the ropes and threw him as he climbed back, then dumped him smartly and followed him to tho iloor to pin him. To everybody’s surprise McCready rolled over on the mat with his opponent under him and pressed Kruse’s shoulders to the mat, reversing tho situation that had seemed already decided. MeCready obtained the first fall with a flying body scissors off the ropes in the third round. Kruse, who was using fast, rough tactics, showed a remarkable range of wristlocks and arm-bars and took his fall with a wristlock in the fifth round.
BOESCH BEATS ELLIOT. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, July 13. A wrestling contest here to-niglit lietween Paul Boescli and King Elliot was won by Boesoli in the seventh round. Elliot had obtained a submission fall with a Boston crab ill the fifth round and Boasch had equalised with a body press following two drop kicks. In the seventh Elliot, who it was announced, was greatly worried by his eyes before the bout started, appeared to be unable to see when ha came out for the round. He was unable to continue and the decision was awarded to Boesch. BLOMFIELD AND LEATHERS DRAW. , Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Julv 13. In a professional heavyweight contest “Lofty” Blomfiekl, of Auckland, JGst 101 b, drew with Sam Leathers, of America, <lGst, each gaining a fall. Leathers won the first fall in tho sixth round with a figure four headlock, in which Blomfiekl protested against a stra.ngle. In the next round Blomfield won a fall with a frog hold.
