TITHE PAYMENTS.
BRITISH BILL OPPOSED. LONDON, July 13. Mr George I’itt-Rivers, who was a’de-de-camp to the Governor-General of Australia from 1922 to 1924 and who is one of the leaders of Britain’s tithe payers, is actively organising resistance to the Tithe Bill at present before Parliament. Mr Pitt-Rivers, who is squire of 20,0C0 acres in Dorset and AA’iltshirc, lias drafted a 1000-word petition asking His Majesty to withhold his assent from the Bill.
