RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, July 10. “The extension on the Rangitikel River, beyond Taproa, has been . surveyed and this line can be erected at the preliminary estimated cost of £IOOO, for which amount guarantees have been signed,” reported the engineer (Mr H. Webb) at yesterday’s monthly meeting of the WanganuiRangitikei Electric-power Board. After a short discussion, the engineer was authorised to purehaso the necessary material. During the meeting the secretary (Mr G. A. Ammundscn) reported that in Juno 36 consumers were connected, making the total to date 10,593, of which- 889 were in the town of Marton, 261 in the Marton county area. There were 222 in the town of Bulls and 133 in the Bulls county area.
