TOKOMARU
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TOKOMARU, July 11
During the meeting of tho St. Aidan's Bible Class, this week. Mr Scliaw was the recipient of a bound indexed Prayer Book, the presentation being made by Mr S. Eagle, who spoke of tho goed services rendered to the class by Mr Scliaw and said all tho members were sorry to lose such a valuable teacher. Mr Schaw has taken up his residence in the Woodville district. The July meeting of the Women’s Institute was held in the hall, Mrs 'Boote prosiding. One new member, Miss Z. Gu.v, was enrolled. A talk was given on first aid by Mr Harper, of Shannon, who was accorded a vote of thanks. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdamcs Cheer and Jamieson. The winner of the points and monthly competition was Mrs Osman. Mrs Voss being second, Mrs Gydo third. The hostesses for tho August meeting are Meedamos Parr and Pcnticost. Tho competition will .be for the best shopping hag made from a sugar hag and scraps of wool, the cost of this to be nil. Mr and Mrs A. G. Todd and family have left Tokomaru to reside in Palmerston North. Miss D. Fowler has returned homo after spending some time in Wanganui.
