THE KING’S CUP.
KEEN COMPETITION. (British Official Wireless.) Received July 11, 11.13 a.m. RUGBY, July. 10. The Duke of Kent’s aeroplane in the eliminating contest for the King’s Cup air race made an average speed of 171 miles an hour, including two stops. Tliirtv minutes later D. Humble's Miles Hawk, which was the second machine to finish, arrived, and lie was followed closely by R. JWright in Lord Wakefield’s T.K. 11, who had averaged 162 miles an hour. Immediately afterwards Flight-Lieu-tenant T. Rose in Lady Wakefield s Miles Hawk passed over the line. The final heat will be flown to-mor-row.
