SIX MONTHS’ OPERATIONS
STATISTICS FOR SERVICE
Statistics available for the Union Airways trunk air service between Palmerston North and Dunedin, from the date of its inception on January 16 until June 27 last, show that there wero 336 scheduled ’plane trips, and 334 were completed, the percentage of regularity being 99.4. Other figures are as follow:—Miles flown, 161,665; hours flown, 1307; passengers carried, 2847; freight carried, 20271 b; mail carried, 88061 b; passenger miles, 636,805; ton miles, freight, 247 ; ton miles, mail, 1176. a -
