FEILDING STOCK SALE.

EWES IN STRONG DEMAND. Despite stormy weather conditions, the attendance at the Feilding stock sale yesterday was good. Lambs and wethers were i:i short supply, while ewes were in strong demand at higher values. There was every indication that prices will harden for ewes and wethers. Prices for fat lambs showed little, if any, movement cither way. In the beef section- plain unfinished beasts sold comparatively well, and dairy f.tt cattle appreciated in value. A largo number of potter cows wore yarded and prices improved slightly over last week’s rates. The dairy cattle entered were npt up to the standard ns far as quality was concerned, but prices were satisfactory. AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS. The Now Zealand Lorn and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report fair yardings of all classes of stock at the Feliding sale. Tho entry of fat lambs fur the most part v;ero of inferior quality and sold on a par with late rates. Fat ewes showed an appreciation on late sales by 2s per bead, pud wethers sold at late rates. A good yarding of breeding ewes sold fully up to late values. The competition for both ewe and wether hoggets was keen, sales showing a slight appreciation on last week. A large yarding of dn:ry stock did not meet with such spirited competition as that at recent sales. The 'enquiry for run boef was weak and prices wero down on last week, but dairy sorts sold fully up to late rates.
