YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Business was gain very brisk on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, a feature being the heavy trading in G. J. Colee with indications of protit-tak-ing. After touching a high level oi 37s 3d, the market receded to 85s Gd, at which price 10 parcels totalling 325 shares were sold, tour parcels totalling 300 shares having gone previously at 80s Gd. The final sale was made at 86s, buyers staying in at 80s 3d, with sellers asking 80s 9d. Bank shares showed an easy tone with rather more business. Five parcels of New Zealands, totalling GOO shares, went at 40s, 20 Australasia were done at £ll 16s, and 25 E.S. and A. at £G 4s. New Zealand ordinaries improved at the close to buyers 40s 3d, sellers 40s Gd. The D mortgage issue were wanted at 28s 4d, sellers asking 28s 9d. Union were firmer n,t £9 Ss. sellers £9 16s.
