CLEARING SALES. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report holding a highly successful sale of dairy cows on account Messrs Minsoiv and Marshall, Waituna, on Thursday, July 2. The cows were submitted to the public in excellent condition, reflecting great credit on Messrs Miusou and Marshall for the way in which they were brought forward. Full details of each cow as to age, etc., along with butterfat records over a period of four seasons, were provided. This undoubtedly helped to stimulate the keen competition which was displayed. The whole herd, taking in three-quar-ter and aged cows, realised the record nverage of £l2 3s, this average constituting a record for the last six years. Several of the top cows realised £ls, £ls 10s, £l6, £l6 10s to £l7. Gray. Woodville, on Wednesday, July 1. All the Live stock submitted to auction sold under keen competition, the herd cows making the good average of £9. Pigs, etc., also sold well up to late rates. A quantity of sundries and household furniture sold at late rates. A further indication of the good demand in the Wail; ato for dairy cattle, close to profit, was the satisfactory average of £8 6s, realised when a herd of 100 cows was offered at a clearing sale at Elwitahi, Morrinsville. Twentyfour heifers averaged £8 ss.
