JAPANESE ROWERS.
SUCCESS IN HEAT. Received July 3, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, July 2. The Japanese rowing eight beat the Quintin Club in the fifth heat for the Henley Grand Challenge Cup by two lengths in 7 minutes 41 seconds, the slowest time of the day. The Japanese were once rowing at 54 strokes to the minute.
