(From Our Own Correspondent.) SANSON, Juno 30. The final meeting of the Sandon Old Boys’ Association before the annual reunion drew a good attendance of members, and Air J. C. Fagan was in the chair. Before the commencement of the business the chairman referred to tho death of Mrs Jas. Bailey, an old and highly esteemed resident of the district. As a mark of respect members stood in silence and the secretary was instructed to write to the relatives conveying the sympathy of the association. Air Fagan was appointed dclcgato to represent the association at tho meeting to be called in connection with the building of a new hall. The following were appointed as a deputation to wait on the Alanawatu County Council with reference to the Alt. Stewart memorial: Alessrs AY. J. and .T. AI. Croucher, C. E. J. Eglinton. J. Fagan and K. Pearce. Tho following officials were appointed for the annual reunion:—Ticket box, Air O. C. Ellcrin; M.C.’s, Messrs D Hammond and D. C. Sanson; supper room, ’ Alessrs C. Eglinton and Keith Lumsdcn; hostesses, Aliss N. Penny and Alesdainos W. E. Pearce, J. C. l'agan and A. Alitehell. . ■ On Friday night, at tho Town Hall, an appreciative audience listened to a programme of vocal, elocutionary and instrumental items provided by a party of Palmerston North artists. Miss June Scott’s pupils also entertained with dance items. The concert was arranged by Airs I*. S. Collier to raise funds to assist the Feilding branch’s effort to build new Phinkct rooms. Air J. 11. Pcrrett, on behalf of the branch, thanked the performers for coming to Sanson and providing such an enjoyable concert. Tho speaker also thankcd Mrs Collier for arranging' the party. Tlje performers were entertained to supper provided by the membera of the Pluiikot Society. Following wore the artists who assisted: —Trio. Airs R. S. Laiv. Aliss V. Wood and Airs F. S. Collier; songs, Mr E. Dowd; violin solos, Airs Law; song, Miss L. AlacDonald; humorous item, Aliss F. Whittaker; songs, Air A. F. Budd; danee, international reel, by pupils of Aliss June Scott; trio, Airs Law, Miss Woods and Airs Collier; songs. Mr A. F. Budd: cello solo, Miss Y. Wood; tap dance, Aliss Juno Scott; song, Air Dowd: humorous item, ATiss Whittaker; trio, Airs Law, Aliss Wood and Airs Collier. Tho friends of Rev. R. E. Fordyco and Airs Fordyco will be pleased to learn that their children, Dorothy and George, have been discharged from the Palmerston North Hospital. All- J. Davev is on his annual leave and is staying with his parents, Air’ and Mrs E. Davey, of Sanson. Tho friends of Air E. J. Davey •will learn with regret that he has had to undergo a further operation in the Palmerston North Plospital, but will be pleased to hear that his condition is improving. Air P. Godyc’s friends will regret to hoar that he is still indisposed. Tho eleventh weekly shoot of the Aliniaturc Rifle Club was held on Alonday evening when there was a good attendance of members. The Jenkins Buttons were won as follows: —A grade, J. C. Fagan; B grade. M. Pearce; C grade, Aliss L. Lnmsden and W. Alastcrs, equal. A teams’ match was held during the evening between a team chosen from the married men, one chosen by the secretary, Mr P. Gedye, and one by the president, Air K. Pearce.
