ITALIAN PROTEST RESENTED. CONSTANTINOPLE, June 20. Turkish opinion has been shocked by an announcement from Rome that Italy regards tho Montreux confer ence as irregular as it is discussing an important Mediterranean - problem in the absence of a great Mediterranean Power and despite the Italian Government’ official reservations. q’hc Turkish official agency, in j. statement, regrets • that Italy is not attending the confn-ir.ce, but states that “discussion of questions vital so other countries cannot be postponed to suit Italy’s convenience.''
