TRADE IN FRUIT.
AUSTRALIAN RESOLUTIONS. SYDNEY, June 26. The annual conference of the Fruitgrowers’ Federation of New South Wales passed a resolution recommending the acting-Minister of Commerce (Mr H. V. O. Thorby) to reopen negotiations with New Zealand with a view to lifting the embargo on fruit and, if necessary, to visit New Zealand. A further motion which was adopted recommends that the Government place an embargo on American lruit and nuts until America allows Australian fruits to be exported to the United States.
