(From Our Own Correspondent.) BEACONSFIELD, June 26. The friends of Mr C. U. Richardson will be pleased to hear that lie has returned home after being in hospital for a few days. ]t is with regret that news has been received of Rao Stewart having to undergo an operation upon her left knee, the right knee being operated upon last week.. Mr and Mrs Jti. Orico, of Linton, spent the week-end with Mr and Mrs \Y. L. Grice, of Beaeonsfield. . Last Sunday at the Beaeonsfield Anglican Church there was a large congregation to hid farewell to Rev. L. A. Barnes and Mrs Barnes who left this week to take up thennew charge at Tcmnka. Rev. Mr Barnes has been in the parish for two years and it is with iegret, that the district had to say goodbvo. Both Rev. and Mrs Barnes have carried out their duties to the full and nothing has been too much trouble for them. In the carrying out of their duties, it did not matter to them whether it was the young, old, rich, or poor—it was all the same—they did what they thought their Manor wished them to do. It was for this that they were loved and respected in whatever part of the large parish they had to visit. Everyone wishes them happiness and prosperity in their new parish, and hopes that the time will not be long Jjeforc they will be able to take charge of this parish again. On June 23 the seven members of the Beaeonsfield Golf Club who visited (ho Ivangiwahia Golf Chib’s King’s Birthday tournament each collected a trophy, while one member collected three, and another two trophies. The hospitality of flic Rangi wall in, Club as usual was excellent. The Rangiwaliia Golf Club are to visit Beaconsfieki for the return inter-club game on July 5. At a meeting of the Beaeonsfield Club it was decided to fence the greens, erect stiles, and clean up two fairways in the near future. Last competition day E. I Buchanan reduced his handicap to 26. This player is going to bo well in the running ; for the G. H. Bennett Cup and by the end of the season the lowest handicap player in the club.
