LADIES’ COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of- the College Street School ladies’ committee was held last night. Mrs Whyte P r< s^ d< ; d and also present were Mesdames Duckworth, Gush, Holds worth, King McI Leod, Nicholson. Persson. Ross, Terry Watchorn and Livingston (secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Aitken. Boslner, Christmas, Gold, McGilray and Templeton. Many business arrangements pertaining to the forthcoming school ball, which is being held on July 24, were completed. Mesdames Whyte Watchorn. and Nicholson have kindlv donated dance prizes. Mrs Whvte and Mrs Christmas are to take charge of the supper room and it was decided to have a plentiful supp y ot cake ordered- as well as the usual donations of cake received from the committee, parents and supporters. Lac!] member of the committee was asked to obtain helpers, as owing to the increase in the number of school children there will be considerable work to get through and a large attendance at the ball is expected. A combined meeting it was stated, would be held on July 2, and all the committee ladies were asked to bo present.
