CYCLING .
The following handicaps have been declared by Mr Hastie for amateur cycling events at the Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon commencing at 1.30. Events are half mile, one mile, and three miles in that order: H. Cocker, E. Sheerm, W. William, 30yds.. 60yds., IGOvds.; G. Sheridan, R Peters A. Rasmussen 00, 90, 2-JO; C.’ Sheerin, N. White. H. Essex, 90, 175. 030; I. Little, .1. Hulbert IV. Pedley, W. Sheridan, 95, 190, 540. In connection with the annual road race, Palmerston North to Bulls and back, to be conducted by the Manawatu Amateur Cycling Club on Tuesday, entries have been received from "Wellington, Napier, Levin, Otaki, and Wanganui, and a good race should eventuate. The start will be in Rangitikei Street at 1.15 p.m.
