KITCHEN EVENING.

' The Orient Hall, Church Street, was j the scene of a happy gathering on Monday night, when a kitchen evening was tendered Miss. N. McClean, who is to be married next week. The time was spent in games and dancing, the music being in the capable hands of Air L. C. Smith. Vocal solos were rendered by AH C. Sherriffs, while Air AV. Allan pleased the audience with novelty dances, both numbe-s being much appreciated. At a suitable juncture, supper was served, after which Ali.ss McClean was called upon to open numerous parcels, which indicated her popularity. Afr B. Gardner, on her behalf. thanked those p-esent for the useful gifts, also Mr and Airs L. O. Smith, Airs Ram and Mr G. Ram. who were responsible for tho success of the evening.
