WOMEN’S TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA. ALLISON INJURED. Received June 17. 10.20 a.m. LONDON, Juno 16. The Lawn Tennis Association announces the acceptance of the Australian invitation to send an English women’s team to Australia in the winter of 1937-38. Mr T. Whittaker, trainer of the Arsenal Association Football Club, has accepted an invitation to train the British Davis Cup representatives. Allison has dislocated a hip bone and is unlikely to play at Wimbledon. The injury is similar to Austin’s, whose hip bone was out of its socket. Austin lias nearly recovered and expects to play at Wimbledon. DAVIS CUP PLAY. INTER-ZONE FINAL AT WIMBLEDON. Received Juno 17, 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Juno 16. The Davis Cup inter-zone final will be played on No. 1 court at Wimhleton on July 18, 19, 20 and 21.
