ARTICLES THAT GIVE VALUABLE ADVICE The National Daily Show turns the thoughts of farmers to the welfare of their industry. In the spacious halls at the Manawatu A. and P. Showgrounds are the products that come from their energy. Always should they be seeking to improve the technique of their work. The world markets to-day demand the highest quality in butter and cheese, and unless they prepare their pastures accordingly and tend to their stock they cannot provide the raw material which is the foundation of finest butter and cheese. To aid the farmers there is provided by the Government a first-class service which is at their disposal. In this and the other pages there are articles, some of which have been contributed by the officers of the Department of Agriculture, which will give them valuable advice on how to improve the technique of their work.
Research is the farmer’s greatest friend to-da} 7 , and always are research officials at work to bring to farmers the greatest reward if its lessons are adequately applied.
