TRADE EXPANSION.
lAIPROVEAIENT IN BRITAIN. (British Official "Wireless.) RUGBY, June 15. Preliminary figures of overseas trade for Alay show an increase of exports and imports over both the preceding month and a year ago. Exports last month amounted to £36,396,327, as compared with £33,427,144 in April and £35,206,862 in May, 1935. Figures for imports at corresponding dates are £69,178,336, £66,665,586 and £64,528,697. Reexports were £5,634,554 as in Alay, against £5,922.051 in April and £5,559,760 a year ago. Total exports for the first five months of this year were £175,852,585, an increase of £2,274.544 over the corresponding period of last year and of £18.244,500 over the first five months of 1934. Imports for the same period of this and the two preceding years were, respectively, £335,667,912, £302,072,560 and £301.311,350. Re-exports at £27,391,671 for the five months show an increase of £3.750,690 over the same period of 1935 and of £2,683,878 over 1934.
