HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS.

REUNION IN WELLINGTON. As the result of suggestions made by the Palmerston North High School Old Boys’ Association, a reunion was held in Wellington on Saturday evening or old boys who are resident in that city. The function was organised by a committee under the presidency of Mr ItHardie Boys and the secretaryship ot Mr L. Dunshea, and took the form ot a dinner. Approximately 100 old hoys v ere present and there were also in attendance members of tho staff, together with representatives of the parent Old Boys’ Association in Palmerston North. Kindred schools represented were the Napier Goys’ High School, the Wairarapa High School, the Wanganui Technical College, and Scots College. Among those in attendance were old boys of the Palmerston North High School wiio had been pupils at various periods from the school’s inception. Some of the oldest of the former pupils of the school in attendance were Messrs N. Thompson, H. M. Thompson, E. \ . Paul, R. McDowell, C. Smith, and J. S. Hanna. „ „ After the loyal toast the following were honoured:—“The School,” proposed bv Mr Boys and replied to by Messrs J. Murray (rector of the school) and 0- Doe] (a member of the ■ teachin" staff); “The Old Boys’ Association,” proposed by Mr J. A. Colquhoun and replied to by Mr 11. AiV. Kerr (president of the association); Kindred Associations,” proposed by Mr R. Diederich and replied to by Messrs Martin-Smith (Napier), Simpson (Wanganui), McWhinnie (Masterton) and J. It. Sutcliffe (an old boy of the I almerston North Boys’ High School who is headmaster of Scots College).
