Tutira Station, consisting ot approximated 22,000 acres on the NapierWairoa Road, will shortly be subdivided for closer settlement bv tbo expiry of the lease and by proposals originating from the Government. As a result, of three drives ot cull cows, organised bv the Southern Hawke’s Bay Herd Testing Association, 350 head have been despatched to freezing works at Foil ding. The initial drive was made early in April, 43 cows being culled. A month later the second drive took place, this consisting of 193 head. On May 22 the third and final drive culled 118 head. The prices realised were satisfactory. The districts worked were between Norsewood and Woodville. An increase of 747 tons of butter, or 10.20 per cent, is announced by the Morrinsville Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd., for the season ended or. May 31. iho company manufactured 3390 tons of butter, a record for the company, the previous highest output being 3043 tons in 1933-34.
