ST. PATRICK'S v. MASSEY COLLEGE.

Saturday brings to the followers of the Rugby code in Manawatu a very fine Pio gramme. The curtain will be raised at 1.30 p.m. on the oval by the junior teams of Massey College and St. Patrick s, a:n with the high class football being played in the junior competition a tirst-ciass match should be witnessed. Ihe mum attraction at 3 p.m. will be the senior teams of tho aforementioned clubs, and despite the fact that both suffered defeat last, week they were not disgraced and gave an excellent display of the code. Massey College have given the public a great football treat this season, drawing with the leaders of the competition—a noteworthy feat With their team back to full strength once more the public may rest assured that the collegians will give a good account of themselves. St. Patrick's playfast, open football and those who witnessed their match with Feilding Old Beys last- week agree that the football was splendid. . Besides the matches already mentioned there will he a Jubilee Cup game on No. 2 ground at 3 p.m.. the defenders being Palmerston North Old Boys and the challengers, Feilding B, who will certainly be all out to win the. cup and take it back to Feilding. On No. 3 ground at the same time Feilding A and United will try conclusions. Preceding tho 3 p.m. match on No. 2 ground at 1.30 p.m. Old Boys juniors will meet To Arakura. Last, but notl cast on the programme for the Showgrounds is the popular midget match when Russell Street and Milson will meet. At Feilding a sterling game is set down —one that must draw a record crowd— Kia Toa and Feilding Old Boys. The former team have improved, for last week they defeated the strong Massey College fifteen, so should prove worthy opponents for the leaders of the competition. Can the double blues give tho magpies a “taste” of defeat! Whoever wins, tho match should be a hard fought, one and well worth seeing. Altogether the programme is nil excellent one. it should provide spectacular football, giving the public, a good afternoon's sport and football of the highest order.
