AMERICAN PRESIDENCY.
SOCIALIST NOMINATED. CLEVLAND. May 25. The Socialist National Convention nominated Mr Norman Thomas as its candidate for the Presidency at the 1936 election and Mr George Nelson, who was Socialist candidate for the Governorship of Wisconsin in 19.34, for the Vice-Presidency. The convention rejected a proposal from the Communist Party for a political “united front” during the coming campaign.
