KING AS GUEST.

AYEST END DINNER PARTY. LONDON, May 16. The King was a guest last evening at a dinner party in the West End home of Lady Cunard, one of London’s leading hostesses, who, in regal fashion, staged in her drawing-room the complete last act of “storiu in a Teacup.” Tho act including the full cast, scenery and stage hands, was transferred in taxis and private cars from the llaymarket Theatre. There were 16 in the dinner party, and the -20 actors and actresses, fully made up and costumed included Sarah Allgood and G. M. Hallard. The King congratulated tho cast and patted Miss Allgood’s mongrel dog, one of the play’s must amusing characters, which was bought from a dog’s home for ss.
