The anti-cyclone covering New Zealand has intensified still further, but the centre is now east of the North Island and is falling in the south. An intense anticyclone covers eastern Australia; a shallow depression is moving across the Tasman Sea. Forecast: —Moderate, hut freshening northerly winds. Weather: Fair to cloudy, but cloud and mist increasing. Seas moderate. MANAWATU RIVER GAUGE, Noon. —3ft.
