HAWAIIAN DEFENCES.
GREAT DOCK PLANNED. NEW YORK, May .14. The Washington correspondent of the New \ork Times says that an interesting development in American naval plans is an announcement that the Navy Department is ready to start construction ot a 10,000,000-dollar floating dry dock for Pearl Harbour, Honolulu, as part of .the Hawaiian defence system. The dock will be 1016 feet long and will be capable of handling any vessel in the American licet, alioat or contemplated.
