RIMUTAKA DEVIATION.
WAIRAItAPA’S CLAIMS. Per Press Association. MASTEItTON, May 13. “That, as soon as can be arranged, a deputation representing the whole of tins district wait upon the Prime Minister, Minister of Railways, and Minister of Public Works to press the claims of this district to have the Rimutaka deviation put in hand at the earliest moment.” This resolution was carried unanimously at a district conference held in Masterton to-day attended by representatives from all parts of Wairarapa when consideration was given to presenting the case for Wairarapa for the Rimutaka deviation.
