MOTOR ACCIDENTS
THREE PERSONS INJURED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 13. Two motor-cyclists were seriously injured in a head-on collision on the Lake Road, Takapuna, to-night, Norman Alfred Tibbutt, a collector, aged 30, of Devonport, received severe head injuries and a possible fracture of the skull, and Roland Douglas Stewart, a radio serviceman, aged 22, of Mt. Eden, had his right thigh fractured. Both men were admitted to the Auckland Hospital. Tibbutt was reported to be in a serious condition, while Stewart’s condition was satisfactory. The collision occurred opposite the bricks works. Stewart, who is employed at a radio dealer’s shop in Takapuna, was riding toward Devonport, and Tibbutt, who was travelling in the opposite direction, was pulling out from behind a bus in front of him at the moment of impact. Both motor-cycles were badly damaged. A passenger in a motor car, Miss C. C'auley, of Epsom, suffered a fracture of the right forearm in a motor accident on the Great South Road, Takanini. Miss Caulev and another woman were in a car driven by J. TV. Bvgate, of St. Stephen’s School, proceeding southwards. It came into collision with another car driven in the opposite direction by Thomas Ward Green, jockey, of Takanini.
