CRICKET IN AUSTRALIA.

NEW LEG-BEFORE RULE. SYDNEY, April 23. The Australian Cricket Board of Control, at its meeting to-day, decided to adopt the new experimental legbefore law and to instruct its delegate to the Imperial Cricket Conference in London on Alay 25 to support its inclusion in the laws of cricket. The board received a letter from the Alaharajah of Patiala recording the unqualified success or the tour ot India by Air F. Tarrant’s team and hoping that it would be the forerunner of many more such tours. It was announced that the New Zealand Cricket Council had received from the Australian Board £l7 21 as its share of the profits from the matches played in Australia by E. R. X. Holmes’s team.
