PERSONAL.
Mr S. S. Dean has been elected chairman of the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union for the 15th year in succession. Mr Justice Ostler will be the presiding Judge at the next sitting of the Supreme Court in Palmerston North, which is to commence early next month. A Gazette notice announces that Mr H. D. Vickery had been appointed chairman of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board for a further three months from April 1. The Palmerston North branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, at its meeting last evening, passed a resolution of condolence with the family of the late Mr E. Larcomb, its first chairman, and an active member until 1929, as well as the father of the branch’s auditor (Mr P. Larcomb). A tribute to the sporting proclivities and interest of tne deceased gentleman was paid by Mr E. G. Matthews.
