POULTRY CONFERENCE.

BUSINESS CONTINUED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 23. The Poultry Conference discussed proposals that all poultry keepers should be registered. An amendment was moved that the proposal should apply only to tfiose selling eggs. Both the amendment and the proposal were defeated. The conference carried a remit submitted by the executive suggesting that the Poultry Board allocate the federation £SOO each year to enable it to ca.rrv on its work. It was‘also decided that legal steps be taken against those violating the regulations regarding the sale of nonstamped chilled and preserved eggs, and that all eggs placed in cool store be stamped.
