DEATH SENTENCE.

ON CAPITAL CHARGE. , SYDNEY, April 22. At the Criminal Court at Armidale to-day, Lionel John Roberts, aged 17, was sentenced to death for the murder of George Robert King, who was shot dead on his father’s station near Tamworth. AVith four bullet wounds in his body, George Robert King, aged twenty-two, the son of a well-known grazier, was found dead on his parents' property at Limbri, 26 miles from Tamworth, on February 14. King’s parents were spending a holiday at the seaside at Bondi. Prior to finding the body the police were inquiring into a car smash at Aberdeen and the discovery of a fully-loaded six-chambered revolver. Aberdeen is 96 miles south of the scene of the murder, and the car actually belonged to Jihe King family. A young man was arrested at Aberdeen on a formal charge of being in possession of an unlicensed revolver. Detectives were' convinced that King put up a gallant struggle and was in the act of telephoning for assistance when he was shot.
