DEBATING CLUB
ANNUAL AIEETING. The Palmerston North Literary and Debating Club hold its annual meeting last evening, Air AA'. B. Tennent being in the chair. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Air A. E. Alansford (re-elect-ed) ; president. Air AV. B. Tennent (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs R. H. Billeiis, J. A. Nash, and N. H. Nash; secretary. Air E. C. AA’atson ; chairman of committee, Air T. C. AVatson; hon. auditor, Air L. I. Plimmer; committee Messrs H. G. Alills, Iv. N. Stubbs, Airs J. A. Edwards, and secretary and chairman of committee ex-officio. Aleetings will be held weekly, hut the question of place and time was left with the committee to decide.
