The Zeppelin Hindenburg lias arrived safely. There is widespread relief in Germany, as the Zeppelin had been battling with storms since it crossed the Equator from South America. French warships in the Mediterranean had been ordered to help if the ship was forced down at sea. The Bordeaux aerodrome was specially manned and illuminated. Le Bourget picked up a message from the Hindenburg early in the morning stating that two of the four Jiigines had been disabled in fighting the strong head winds. It is reported from Paris that the Zeppelin Hindenburg . sought permission, which was granted, to fly over French territory owing to the break l down of one engine off Gibraltar. It ,s stated that the breakdown was due to broken pistons, which are made of a light aluminium alloy. COMPANY NOT • PERTUR BED. BERLIN, April 9. The Zeppelin Company does not regard the trouble seriously. It states that engine disturbances are liable to affect new airships. Zeppelins could easily span the South Atlantic.
