81-AIONTHLY MEETING. At the fortnightly meeting of the Sluggish River Drainage Board, held on Thursday, Mr E. J Foster presided. Also present were Messrs M. J. ‘Ryan, E. C. Print A. N. Morcom, W. H. Gimblett a.nd the overseer (Mi The chairman stated that a complaint had been received m connection with Craven’s Drain, which it was stated, needed widening considerablj. In reply to a question from Mr Limblett, Mr Print stated that, the dram had never been wider than it is today. It bad been cleaned, said the chairman, but this could no e pected to widen it. There had been, trouble with this dram once before he said, sometime before 1926 bu the work of repairing it had been done by day labour and therejas no record of the transaction—-The mat ter was held over to enable the chairman to make further lnventigations.
