THREE MEN INJURED.
Two Maoris were admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital, on Wednesday evening, as the result of a collision between two motor-cars at the intersection of the Bunnythorpe-Kai-ranga Road with Rangitikei Line. One car, containing three Maoris, came from the direction of Bunnythorpe, the occupants being Mr K. Lewis, of Kauwhata, the driver: his brother, Mr A. Lewis, and a cousin, Mr T. Graham. The other vehicle was proceeding along Rangitikei Line and was driven by Mr J. Meßean Stewart, of Dannevirke. A collision occurred and head injuries were suffered by Mr Stewart, who was. attended to by a doctor. The injuries were not serious. Mr A. Lewis received a fractured jaw, and cuts on the face and right hand. Mr Graham, who was thrown over a fence, had a shoulder fractured and also had his face cut. The Maoris were taken to the Palmerston North Hospital by the Free Ambulance. It was reported by the authorities on Thursday that both were progressing as well as could be exjiected under the circumstances.
